We see Sister Boniface returning home to her parents obstensibly to help out while her mother has a broken elbow. However, her parents are atheists and Sister is not too enthused about spending Christmas holidays in such an unjoyful environment. She sets out on a train and the mystery begins!
A jewel is stolen and a body is discovered! DI Gillespie, also traveling on the train, naturally enlists Sister Boniface to help solve the crime. It's all very Wilkie Collins meets Agatha Christie. The train investigation is intercut with goings-on in Great Slaughter so we don't miss our favorite characters. Keep an eye out for a few career British actors such as Timothy West and Rupert Vansittart.
